Biggleswade is situated in East Bedfordshire. East Bedfordshire is a pleasant lanscape straddling the former great North Road. It is an agricultural and horticultural area. The proud agricultural heritage can be seen in the towns and villages with beautiful farm buildings and a wealth of pretty cottages.

There are plenty delightfully marked walks alongside woods, heathlands, rivers and brooks, also a long distance bridleway and scenic cyclepath. There are many other interesting attractions including aeroplanes, old cars, ancient churches and historical houses.

Biggleswade itself is an ancient market town, standing on the River Ivel, it is the largest town in East Bedfordshire. Biggleswade Market Square holds a large weekly market which started in the 12th Century. There are many local pubs and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines.
